Featured Projects
A showcase of web development projects built with a focus on speed, responsive design, and clean structure. From interactive custom applications to tailored local business sites, every project is optimized for performance and ease of use.

Calc-It
The Project
Calc-It was born out of a need for a fast, no-nonsense financial suite. Most online calculators are bogged down by heavy tracking scripts, aggressive ads, and slow load times. This custom web app solves that by delivering instant, accurate data across multiple financial models—including compound interest, CAGR, and credit card repayment strategies—in a single, unified dashboard.
The Code
Built strictly from scratch using semantic HTML and vanilla JavaScript, the focus was entirely on maths precision and performance. By avoiding heavy third-party frameworks or bulky plugins, the app boasts a near-instantaneous runtime and flawless responsiveness across all devices, ensuring a seamless user experience.

M Day Carpentry
The Project
The goal for this project was to establish a commanding digital presence for a local carpentry and bespoke joinery business. Built with a strict focus on local SEO foundations and user conversion, the site functions as a highly professional service showcase. It seamlessly organises high-quality project galleries—ranging from large-scale timber outbuildings to fine interior finishes—making it easy for regional clients to view past work and instantly request a quote.
The Code
To ensure maximum performance, the site was developed natively within WordPress utilizing the lightweight block architecture and Full Site Editor. By avoiding heavy third-party page builders and restrictive premium themes, the underlying markup remains incredibly semantic and clean. Every asset, image, and style sheet is optimized for mobile responsiveness, allowing the site to load almost instantly on slow mobile connections while preserving flawless visual appeal.

Cooper and Son Plumbing
The Project
This project was developed as a case study to analyse the real-world performance gaps between standard off-the-shelf industry themes and highly optimised custom builds. Using a typical pre-made commercial plumbing theme, the project models an emergency-focused user layout featuring rapid-access contact points, targeted service blocks, and conversion forms. However, the live deployment highlights a critical common pitfall in web development: hidden theme bloat.
The Analysis & Strategy
While the visual structure successfully addresses local conversion goals and regional SEO layouts, technical diagnostics reveal that standard pre-built themes carry heavy performance penalties on mobile networks due to unoptimised scripts and redundant style sheets. This blueprint serves as a clear benchmark, demonstrating exactly why migrating local service businesses away from generic templates to lightweight, semantic block architectures is essential for securing higher search rankings and reducing mobile drop-off rates.
